Black Travel Summit reached out to me, recommended by someone I’d worked with before, eager to get a fresh landing page for their annual summit.
They wanted something that felt high-end yet approachable—something that communicated Black excellence but also captured the energy, joy, and vibrancy of the event itself. I asked them, "If you could compare the vibe of the summit to a fabric, what would it be?" They told me cashmere—not silk or satin, but something rare and special, with that undeniable quality and depth.
With that in mind, I had the creative freedom to design something that felt true to their vision. I took a moment to reflect on their previous website, knowing I had to build something that would elevate the experience and match their ambition. Despite the tight deadline, I pulled it together and delivered the landing page just in time for the announcement of their next event in Brazil. It was a perfect fit—sleek, polished, and full of that unique energy they were after.
The Results
The client immediately acknowledged my eye for user experience and visual hierarchy during the discovery phase. Trusting my creative expertise, they gave me the freedom to experiment. I introduced a contrasting sans serif typeface to enhance the bold, confident, and vibrant energy of the summit, staying true to the brand's aspirational Black excellence.
They were thrilled with the result, particularly appreciating the unexpected yet fitting design choices. The final outcome not only captured the essence of their vision but also reflected the Black Travel Summit's values and personality with precision and authenticity.
