Lagoon approached CRTV Corner for a stronger brand strategy and creative direction.
Lagoon is an events company that promotes holistic living, enjoyment, and professional growth for young adults through community. Their goal is to foster lifelong friendships, inspire dreamers, and bring the Kingdom of God through shared experiences. However, their brand was still giving off a start-up vibe, and they struggled with inconsistent social media content and low engagement.
Lagoon wanted to be recognised as a leader in the community-building space in the UK. They were looking for a cohesive brand identity that embodied their mission of "giving life to people’s dreams, art, and hearts."
My Approach
Since Lagoon already had a clear purpose, vision, and mission, I dove straight into research and strategy. This included a competitor analysis to highlight what would make them stand out and identifying key opportunities like:
✱ Drawing design inspiration from fashion, arts, and pioneers like Nike.

I developed audience personas, defined their brand personality, and crafted an authentic tone of voice. Visually, I created a mood board that balanced their cool, artsy vibe with a playful, welcoming feel, using bold, sans-serif fonts for an editorial look that was clean and attention-grabbing.
The Results
The team was ecstatic with the direction! The brand strategy and visual identity truly reflected their mission. They loved the bold use of colours and how it balanced playfulness with maturity. The new brand strategy helped them confidently host their first major venue event in 2024, which was a sold-out success, with people even requesting entry at the door.
They also organised a brand photoshoot, perfectly aligned with the vision we’d set, and everything they’ve created since has carried the same energy and vibrancy. The strategy was easy for them to implement and has supported their growth as they continue building a thriving, connected community.
